Ludo 1 by Keith Haring framed art prints

Keith Haring Ludo 1 is the only truly figurative image in the Keith Haring Ludo series, dominated by a vivid red colour. In the following Keith Haring prints, eyes, limbs and other body parts are transformed into abstract forms, reflecting the artist’s distinctive Pop Art style.

The simplified shapes and playful visual language of this Keith Haring artwork reveal the influence of Pop Art and Haring’s childhood fascination with Dr. Seuss, Disney and Looney Tunes. Created during an important period in his career, Ludo 1 also reflects Haring’s growing involvement in AIDS awareness and advocacy during the 1980s.

This striking Keith Haring print combines bold colour, expressive forms and powerful social themes, making Ludo 1 an important example of Keith Haring Pop Art.
