Growing 1 - by Keith Haring Framed Art Print

Haring was deeply concerned with the democratisation of art and used his positive visual language as a form of activism to raise awareness of important social and political issues of the 1980s. In the Growing series, his depiction of conjoined figures evokes a powerful sense of community, unity and collaboration within a capitalist society where individuality is often prioritised over collective experience.

Growing 1 presents multiple figures emerging from a single individual, expressing Haring’s vision of a collaborative society liberated from the divisions of gender, class, race and sexuality. His use of bold, energetic lines creates a strong sense of movement, making the figures appear to dance across the composition.

The joyful movement of the dancing figures reflects Haring’s fascination with the energy of hip-hop culture emerging in New York City during the 1980s. Through simplified forms, dynamic lines and instantly recognisable symbols, Growing 1 demonstrates the accessible visual language that made Keith Haring Pop Art so influential.

Presented as a Keith Haring Framed Art Print, Growing 1 combines bold graphic imagery with themes of community, unity and social expression. It makes distinctive Keith Haring Wall Art for contemporary interiors and collectors of modern and Pop Art.
