Dr Winkies Wedding Invitation - by Keith Haring Framed Art print

Created as a wedding announcement for the union of Estefania Kong and Lawrence ‘Dr. Winkie’ Lin, this print is rendered in Keith Haring’s trademark figurative style, combining vivid contrasting colours with bold, expressive outlines. Throughout his artistic career, Haring frequently used conjoined, genderless figures as a symbol of unity, collaboration and the power of working together. This joyful pictogram is therefore perfectly suited to a wedding announcement, with the two figures coming together to form a beating heart.

Although Haring had experimented with printmaking techniques such as lithography during the late 1970s, it was not until 1983 that he began producing screen prints. This work represents the close relationship between Haring’s drawing, painting and printmaking practices, while highlighting the essential importance of the expressive drawn line throughout his career. Its playful symbolism and vibrant composition make it a distinctive example of Haring’s ability to communicate universal themes of love, connection and unity through simple yet instantly recognisable imagery.

Presented as a Keith Haring framed art print, this joyful artwork brings Haring’s bold Pop Art aesthetic and powerful symbolism into a contemporary interior.
