In this print, rays emanate from the child’s body, imitating a well-known convention in religious art to emphasise the baby as a holy figure like Jesus Christ. As with other prints in the series, Haring depicts religious iconography in the visual vocabulary of a cartoon, thus producing a cynical and ambiguous image.

Radiant Baby is a noteworthy example of how Haring created optimistic icons for his generation, to be displayed in public spaces during a time of technological acceleration, rampant capitalism and political turmoil. Haring described the Radiant Baby as “the purest and most positive experience of human existence” and used the figure as a symbol of hope for the future.

Explore more Keith Haring Posters in our collection, featuring iconic Radiant Baby designs and bold works inspired by Haring’s instantly recognisable visual language.

Our Master's Edition archival paper, in off-white and uncoated, offers museum-quality for art enthusiasts seeking a luxurious way to enjoy world-class artworks:

Paper Finishing: Matte, uncoated, natural white (off-white).

Acid-Free: pH above 7 to prevent yellowing over time.

Paper Weight: 250 gsm (110 lb), Thickness: 0.29 mm (11.4 mils).

Available Sizes: 29 sizes in inches (US&CA) and cms (rest of the world).

Sustainable Paper: FSC-certified paper for sustainability.

Learn about paper types and their unique textures and finishes here.

No minimum orders, printed and shipped on demand.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/2301/3676/files/e851ac55-ca86-4520-b498-72bd27cae544.webp?v=1791203574
